FantasyAces NBA: Weekend Value Plays

FantasyAces NBA: Weekend Value Plays

This article is part of our FantasyAces NBA series.

RotoWire aims to help you win on Fantasy Aces, as we break down a few value plays for the coming days that can help you build your lineups.

There is value to be had, and identifying it will allow you to spend your money more efficiently to round out your lineup.

Guards

Lou Williams, LAL vs. LAC (Fri), at MEM (Sun) ($4,350): Williams has consistently out-produced his price tag this month, scoring between 24.75 and 36.25 points in six straight games before a clunker Wednesday night in a blowout loss to the Thunder. His average of 28.5 FPts during that six-game stretch would seem to be his new normal, which is significantly more valuable than his price.

Garrett Temple, WAS at BRO (Sat) (Price TBD): Temple has played like an impact player over the last week with both Bradley Beal and Otto Porter sidelined with injury. He has averaged 21.3 points, 5.3 boards, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals over his last three games and would be expected to perform near that level Saturday as long as Beal and Porter remain on the bench.

Evan Fournier, ORL vs MIA (Sat) (Price TBD): Fournier was one of the hottest value players in the league for most of the first month of the season, but tailed off going into December. However, he has been returning to form of late with averages of 16.6 points, 4.7 boards, three assists, and two steals over his last three games.

Forwards

Taj Gibson, CHI @OKC (Fri), @DAL (Sat) ($4,000): Gibson has proven repeatedly over the last few years that he can produce impact numbers when given starter's minutes. He has been starting at power forward for the last week, but with the depth that the Bulls have up front, his production has remained inconsistent. In his last three games, he's averaged a so-so 23.58 FPts. However, with Joakim Noah sidelined due to a shoulder injury, Gibson should both start and get enough minutes to keep his production up near the 30 FPts/G range on a more consistent basis.

Frank Kaminsky, CHA vs MEM (Sat) (Price TBD): Kaminsky has been playing better basketball since Al Jefferson went down and gave him the opportunity, but he exploded to the forefront in his last game on Wednesday against the Celtics. Kaminsky scored 23 points to go with seven boards, two assists, two treys, and a block in that game to show that he has the ability to produce when called upon.

Jae Crowder, BOS @ DET (Sat), vs NYK (Sun) (Price TBD): Crowder has quietly been a quality value play for most of the season, but in his last three games with starting frontline mates Jared Sullinger (back) and Amir Johnson (foot) struggling with injury, Crowder has dominated the glass with three straight double-doubles and averages of 20.3 points, 10.7 boards and one block in 34.7 minutes per game.

Center

Kelly Olynyk, BOS @DET (Sat), vs NYK (Sun) (Price TBD): Olynyk has moved into the starting lineup over the last two games due to injuries to Jared Sullinger and Amir Johnson. While Sullinger returned to action on Wednesday, Johnson hasn't yet returned and is a game-time decision for Saturday. Olynyk has taken advantage of his two starts to average 19.5 points, seven boards, two assists, two treys, and one steal in 29.5 minutes per game.
