Heat Defeat Celtics in Game 7, 103-84
The Miami Heat defeated the host Boston Celtics, 103-84, in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden on Monday.

Miami won this series, 4-3. They will play the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals. That series will start on Thursday, with Denver as the home team.

A 22-15 first quarter set the tone for Miami in this shocking road win, holding the lead for the final three frames. They led by at least seven points for the final three quarters, holding a double-digit lead for the entirety of the fourth quarter. They got their lead up to 23 points. Miami shot 49 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range while holding Boston to 39 percent from the field and 21 percent from long range. The Heat out-assisted the Celtics, 26-18, while out-rebounding them, 53-44. They also outscored them in fastbreak points, 17-8.

The Heat (4-3) were led by Jimmy Butler, collecting 28 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals. Cody Martin tallied 26 points, 10 rebounds and three assists on 11-of-16 shooting. Bam Adebayo accrued 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Kyle Lowry led the bench with seven points, seven rebounds and five assists.

The Celtics (3-4) were led by Jaylen Brown, finishing with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. He did commit eight turnovers and shot just 8-of-23 from the field. Derrick White had 19 points, two rebounds and one assist. Jayson Tatum totaled 14 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, dealing with an ankle injury. Al Horford generated eight points, eight rebounds and two assists.
