2025 Fantasy Outlook
Braun broke out last season. With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope leaving the team, Braun was slotted into the starting shooting guard spot. He proved himself to be one of the most efficient transition players in the NBA, drilling his limited three-point attempts, resulting in 15.4 points per game with 1.1 threes on 58/40/83 shooting. The athletic Kansas product also contributed 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks in his 33.9 minutes. There's room for the 24-year-old to grow as a secondary ballhandler, though he may not be asked to do so this season. The Nuggets swapped Michael Porter for Cam Johnson over the summer, with Johnson being a better playmaker than Porter was, and Braun is. Bruce Brown, Tim Hardaway and Jonas Valanciunas were also added, taking some pressure off Braun and even higher-level players like Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. Given what we saw from Braun last season, there's reason to draft him around pick 100, but it's probably not a selection that comes with major upside. Read Past Outlooks

Finishes breakout year on high note
Braun finished Sunday's 125-93 loss to the Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 19 points (7-14 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Braun fell one point shy of the team-high mark in scoring, wrapping up both a solid regular season and postseason for the Nuggets. Over 14 playoff games, the 24-year-old swingman averaged 12.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blocks in 38.9 minutes. Braun should have a good chance of remaining a regular starter in 2025-26 following his breakout campaign, and he could have an even bigger role if Russell Westbrook declines his player option and heads elsewhere this offseason.

Braun enters the 2024-25 season with an exciting opportunity. The former Kansas standout spent the first two years of his NBA career as a depth option for the Nuggets, sitting behind Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. However, the latter signed with the Magic in the offseason, so Braun is slated to open the campaign as the starting shooting guard for one of the best teams in the Western Conference -- and a true championship contender. Braun experienced a statistical jump from his rookie to sophomore year, seeing increases in virtually every major category except steals per game and field-goal percentage. Braun won't hold a prominent role in an offense with two of the best offensive players in the league, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. In fact, the most likely scenario is that Braun will operate as the fifth scoring option. Regardless, the upgrade to a starting role should translate to a massive jump in his fantasy upside, particularly since he's a player who does all the little things well. If he can continue to shoot well from three-point range after making a career-high 38.4 percent of his attempts in 2023-24, Braun could go from being a player not worth targeting in 2023-24 to someone who could be worth a late pick in all formats this season.
