2025 Fantasy Outlook
Allen's first season with the Suns in 2023-24 was easily his career-best campaign. He averaged 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks in 33.5 minutes on 50/46/88 shooting splits while handling increased usage for an injury-depleted squad. However, the Duke product came back to reality last season, finishing closer to his career averages - 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 24.1 minutes per game. One thing that's remained consistent is Allen's three-point shooting, making 42.6 percent on 5.5 tries per game in 2024-25. That alone makes him a top-200 asset in category leagues. However, Allen's upside is capped as a three-point specialist, with an even lower floor in points leagues. Kevin Durant was traded for Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks this offseason, so the Suns will look a lot different. However, Devin Booker will still be leading the way, and Allen's role as a floor-spacing option shouldn't change. He'll compete with Royce O'Neale, Ryan Dunn, Rasheer Fleming and Nigel Hayes-Davis for the final starting spot. Read Past Outlooks
Chips in 17 points Saturday
Allen provided 17 points (6-12 FG, 5-10 3Pt), four rebounds, five assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 133-111 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
With Jalen Green (hamstring) yet to make his Suns debut, Allen got his third straight start to begin the season and once again provided solid secondary scoring behind Devin Booker. Allen's usage will decline once Green gets healthy, but at the moment he's filling a key role in the offense, averaging what would be a career-high 12.0 field-goal attempts and 8.7 three-point attempts per game, en route to 15.7 points, 5.7 assists and 3.7 threes per contest.

Allen quietly put together a top-60 season during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.7 three-pointers. Perhaps more impressive was the fact that he shot 46.1 percent from the perimeter, leading the league in that category. Although typically the third or fourth option on offense, Allen was able to make the most of playing alongside such a talented offensive cast. This was by far Allen's best season, raising the question of whether he can sustain his production or not. While the Suns have not made significant changes, the recent addition of Tyus Jones could certainly impact Allen's playing time. In fact, there is even a chance he shifts to the bench to allow Phoenix to start a more traditional point guard. Nonetheless, Allen did enough last season to make us think he can have fantasy value, even off the bench. He doesn't need to be targeted in the middle rounds of drafts, more so toward the end, at which point managers can afford to draft players risk-free.
