Isaiah Livers

Isaiah Livers was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in July of 1998. Livers was raised by Angela Livers and Morris Livers. He followed in the footsteps of his father and started playing basketball at the age of five in the driveway with his dad. He went to Kalamazoo Central High School in Michigan where he was named 2017 Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year and Mr. Basketball of Michigan. Livers committed to the University of Michigan and played there all four years of his college career. In his freshman season, he only averaged 3.4 points and 2.3 rebounds but he helped his team reach the 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Game. In his sophomore season, Livers averaged 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds, including a 21 point effort in the Big Ten Semifinals. During his junior year, Livers significantly increased his production, averaging 12.9 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. Livers decided to return to Michigan for his senior season and was named Second Team All-Big Ten, averaging 13.1 points and 6.2 rebounds. After leading his team to an NCAA tournament number one seed, Livers suffered a stress fracture in his right foot which left him out for the rest of the season, an extremely unfortunate circumstance for both Livers and the Wolverines. After undergoing successful foot surgery and being out for about six months, Livers was drafted in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons.
