$Signed a two-year, $2.18 million contract with the Nets in March of 2024. Contract includes $2.22 million team option for 2025-26.
Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
A national champion with Kansas in 2022, Jalen Wilson is the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year and Julius Erving Award winner. His game made a giant leap in year four at Kansas, with his offensive volume nearly doubling from 8.7 shots per game last season to 16.0 in 2022-23. He also averaged 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 35.4 minutes. Williams is one of the most decorated players in men's Kansas basketball history. Wilson spent 48.5 percent of his possessions as a pick-and-roll ballhandler and spot-up shooter. He shouldered some tough-bucket getting for Kansas, but his 0.95 AST/TO ratio indicates his shaky PnR playmaking, and his 33.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc dents his shooting upside. Wilson is a fine defender but will likely be pigeonholed to guarding bigger guards and smaller wings versus NBA competition. His career-high 8.3 rebounds per game was great, and Wilson is still demonstrating annual growth heading into his age-23 campaign. Wilson excelled at exploiting mismatches during his time at Kansas. There will be significantly fewer mismatches to exploit at the next level. Josh Hart has proved that rebounding prowess and good defense can counteract subpar shooting. Wilson will need to carve out his own niche, but proven winners are capable of doing so.

November 29, 2024
Wilson closed with 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 31 minutes during Friday's 123-100 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS Wilson returned to the lineup after missing the previous game due to a mild calf issue. He remained in the starting lineup but was unable to repeat his heroics from earlier in the week. With that said, he has scored in double-digits in four of the past six games, flashing some nice offensive upside. Until the Nets are back to full health, he should continue to play a significant role.

December 2, 2024
Wilson's strong play to open the season could make him a valuable part of Brooklyn's future, Michael Scotto of Hoopshype reports.
ANALYSIS With so many injuries in Brooklyn, Wilson has capitalized on his newfound minutes, posting averages of 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 three-pointers in 20 regular-season appearances. He's been a valuable floor spacer, hitting 37.8 percent of his three-point attempts. The Nets have a $2.22 million team option for Wilson for the 2025-26 season, making it very likely that he stays put.
