Waived by Denver
The Nuggets waived Edwards on Saturday, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Edwards spent the 2024-25 season on a two-way deal with the Mavericks, but he was unable to make Denver's loaded roster. Edwards is now free to explore his options elsewhere, though he may end up with Denver's G League affiliate.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
While it can be said that Edwards made the most of his opportunities during his rookie season, his role in 2022-23 could be that of a situation-based rotation piece. The Nets come into the season with a relatively clean bill of health, meaning Edwards shifts down the pecking order quite substantially. Training camp and preseason may offer us some insight as to whether he will be an every night part of the rotation, but until then, he can be ignored basically everywhere.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Barely involved
Edwards logged a season-high 12 minutes in Brooklyn's 30-point loss to Sacramento on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Even with Brooklyn spiraling and allowing 111.7 points per game -- third-worst in the league -- Edwards' number isn't being called. Tuesday marked his first contest exceeding five minutes played this season. The 22-year-old averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 35.3 percent from beyond the arc last season, but it appears he hasn't earned any trust for a role thus far.
