In the summer of 2018, Waters was named "Indian of the Year" at the 83rd annual American Indian Exposition in Anadarko. As a junior during the 2018-19 season, the OSU Cowboy averaged 12.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 made three-pointers and was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. On February 10th, 2022, Waters signed a two-way contract with the Thunder and made is NBA debut on February 11th with a brief appearance versus the Sixers.
ANALYSIS Waters took a scary fall during Friday's win over Memphis but has avoided a long-term injury. The undrafted wing got the first crack in the starting lineup following De'Anthony Melton (knee) going on the shelf, but the Warriors have a deep rotation this year and may continue to switch things up based on matchups.

ANALYSIS The 27-year-old forward was in the starting five to begin the second half Tuesday against the Pelicans, helping the Warriors take control of the game after overcoming an early deficit, and Waters could keep that spot in the rematch Wednesday. "From day one of camp, this guy has been one of our best players, frankly," coach Steve Kerr said after Tuesday's win. Waters barely got off the bench during Golden State's first three games of the season, but in 31 minutes Tuesday he erupted for 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three made three-pointers and a steal. He could have a prominent role in the rotation while Andrew Wiggins is sidelined by back trouble.
