Travers agreed to a two-way contract with the Cavaliers on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Travers was selected by Cleveland with the 56th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, but he'll finally make the jump to North America in 2024-25 after spending the past two seasons with Melbourne of Australia's National Basketball League. As a two-way player, the 22-year-old Travers could end up seeing the majority of his playing time in the G League with the Cleveland Charge during the upcoming season. The 6-foot-7 wing averaged 12.0 points and 7.6 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game over 25 appearances with Melbourne during the 2023-24 NBL campaign.

Future remains unclear
FCleveland Charge   G League (Cavaliers)
August 10, 2024
Travers has yet to decide where he'll play in the 2024-25 season, according to Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
ANALYSIS
Tavares decided to leave Melbourne United to pursue other professional opportunities this offseason, and the Cavaliers played a role in that decision. The plan for Travers remains in the air, as signing him to a two-way contract remains a logical alternative, but the organization wants to explore all the potential avenues. A move to Europe could be in the cards as well, as he'd have a bigger role overseas than in the NBA.
