2025 Fantasy Outlook
Christie was moved from the Lakers to the Mavericks as part of the Luka Doncic deal mid-way through the 2024-25 season. Following a strong start to his career in Dallas, Christie's production subsided down the stretch. Across 27 games over the final two months of the season, he averaged 10.1 points to go with 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.6 three-pointers in 29.8 minutes per contest. While the Mavericks would love for Christie to work towards being the replacement for Klay Thompson, it remains to be seen whether he will get there. Other than Kyrie Irving, who is set to miss at least the first two months of the season, Dallas will roll out a relatively healthy lineup on opening night. The addition of D'Angelo Russell only complicates matters further, meaning Christie could very well end up being nothing more than a 22-minute per-night player. Read Past Outlooks
Cleared to return
Christie (undisclosed) is available to return to Saturday's game against the Lakers, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
ANALYSIS
After a brief stint in the locker room, Christie has been deemed eligible to return. It's unclear what prompted him to exit the game in the first place, but fantasy managers can take a sigh of relief.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
After dominating in the recent Summer League, Christie may very well have earned himself a consistent role in the Lakers rotation. He played just 12.5 minutes per night during his rookie campaign, averaging 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds. However, he flashed his two-way upside in Las Vegas, putting up 19.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.6 blocks and 2.2 three-pointers in 31.8 minutes per game. He will be coming off the bench behind Austin Reaves but could very well find himself ahead of Cam Reddish in the rotation. While he isn't worth a roster spot in standard leagues, managers in deeper formats could consider him as a late-round flier, just in case he can build off his Summer League performance.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Seen as long-term piece?
The Mavericks are beginning to consider Christie as part of the team's long-term plans amid a strong 2025-26 season, according to Christian Clark of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Christie, who missed Wednesday's game against the Nuggets due to an illness, seems to have found his place in the NBA after struggling to earn a role with the Lakers in his first two years in the league. He's started 29 of his 38 appearances in 2025-26 and is putting up excellent numbers, including averaging a career-high 12.3 points per game while shooting 44.1 percent from three-point range. Christie could be a solid low-cost player for the Mavs in the future, as he's still young and won't turn 23 until Feb. 10.
