Uzan is from Las Vegas, Nevada and played the 2024-25 season for Houston after transferring from Oklahoma following two seasons. As a freshman, he averaged 7.6 points, 3.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, earning Big 12 All-Freshman Team honors. With the Cougars, Uzan averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game, shooting an impressive 42.8% from beyond the arc. His performance earned him Second-Team All-Big 12 honors and helped lead Houston to a 35-5 record, including Big 12 regular-season and tournament championships, and a national runner-up finish in the NCAA Tournament. During the Big 12 tournament, Uzan scored a career-high 25 points against Arizona in the championship game. In the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16, he connected on a game-winning layup with less than a second on the clock to secure the win over Purdue. Uzan has withdrawn his name from the 2025 NBA Draft, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.
ANALYSIS
It's the second straight year in which Uzan has declared for the draft and then opted not to go pro. In 2024, he withdrew and transferred from Oklahoma to Houston after spending his first two college seasons with the Sooners. Uzan had his best college season as a junior in 2024-25, averaging 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game across 40 outings.
