2025 Fantasy Outlook
Holland had a quiet rookie season in terms of production, but the 2024 No. 5 overall pick appeared in all but one regular-season game and played 15.6 minutes a night for the Pistons, who had one of the most remarkable turnarounds in NBA history. After finishing with the worst record in the league in 2023-24 (14-68), Detroit was above .500 last year and secured the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference, avoiding the Play-In Tournament. The Pistons lost Tim Hardaway, Malik Beasley, Dennis Schroder and Simone Fontecchio, but they added Caris LeVert, Duncan Robinson and rookie Chaz Lanier, plus Jaden Ivey is fully healthy after a lost campaign. Given his draft pedigree, Holland should be the primary backup on the wings behind Ivey, Ausar Thompson and Tobias Harris, but Holland will have to earn usage, which is difficult to come by with Cade Cunningham leading the way. Holland still has major real-life upside, but his path to fantasy stardom is clouded in 2025-26. He's a safer bet in points leagues due to his poor offensive efficiency, but doesn't need to be taken inside the top-200 picks. Holland is worth a flier after that and is a player to monitor on the waiver wire closely. Read Past Outlooks

Holland was ejected during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Kings, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Holland was selected by the Pistons with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Holland's calling card is his defense, owning a high motor and exceptional athleticism while showcasing a quality handle that makes him an intriguing prospect at 18 years of age. He was one of the top players coming out of high school but partially fell under the radar with the G League Ignite due to a season-ending thumb injury suffered in January after appearing in just 14 games. If Holland can add a reliable three-point shot -- he connected on 24 percent of his attempts in the G League -- he could be a cornerstone player for the Pistons. In Summer League, he averaged 18.8 points and 1.0 threes on 41/24/65 shooting, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks with 1.0 turnovers in 27.4 minutes. His immediate fit with the team is a bit murky. Detroit already has a relatively similar player in Ausar Thompson, who also can't shoot, and a lack of floor spacing was already a major issue for the team.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see time at power forward
Holland could see time at power forward as Tobias Harris' backup, according to Omari Sankofa II of The Detroit Free Press.
ANALYSIS
Holland added 15 pounds this offseason, in part because he might get some minutes at power forward behind Harris, and the second-year wing sounded comfortable with the idea. "Whatever position they need me to go in and play, I'm ready for it, whether it's the one, two, three or four. I feel like if I go sub Tobias and I go guard some fours, I'll be prepared for that." Holland appeared in 81 regular-season games in 2024-25 while playing both at shooting guard and small forward.
