2025 Fantasy Outlook
The No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft, Risacher finished second in Rookie of the Year voting. Based on your expectations for the class as a whole, and Risacher specifically, the campaign could be considered a success or a letdown. Either way, it's undeniable he improved as the season went along. From Jan. 1 onward, Risacher averaged 14.0 points and 1.9 threes on 50/40/73 shooting, 3.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks across 25.3 minutes. The main knock on the 20-year-old's game right now is probably that he doesn't have a standout skill. Spot-up shooting became a positive for Risacher, but not until later in the year, and he was only strong from the corners. And while he was fine defensively, racking up some solid block and offensive rebound numbers for his position, it wasn't anything to write home about. It's also important to consider how low his usage rate was, given that Jalen Johnson - Atlanta's No. 2 option - didn't see the floor from Jan. 25 through the end of the season. He'll be healthy to start the year, and the Hawks brought in Kristaps Porzingis, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard this summer. Minutes and usage will be tougher to come by for Risacher this year than last. Of course, it's possible Risacher takes a sizable step forward and forces the coaching staff to play him 30 minutes per game, but his ceiling for this season still feels relatively capped. Practicing in G League
The Hawks assigned Risacher (knee) to the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The assignment to the G League would seem to indicate that Risacher has made enough progress in his recovery from a left knee bone contusion to resume practicing. The Hawks will likely recall Risacher later Sunday or Monday, at which point a more definitive target date for the second-year forward's return should be available. The Hawks will kick off a four-game week with a matchup Monday against the Pacers.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Risacher was selected by the Hawks with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Risacher boasts a coveted 3-and-D skill set. He's listed at 6-foot-8 with plenty of length and knocked down 39 percent of his attempts from long range last season while playing with French club JL Bourg. Though he's regarded as a versatile defender who can stroke it from three-point land, Risacher's likelihood of living up to the expectations of the No. 1 pick will likely rely on his ability to produce off the dribble. He averaged less than one assist per game in 2023-24 for JL Bourg and had difficulties creating his own shot. In Summer League, he averaged 14.5 points and 2.0 threes on 39/25/43 shooting, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 turnovers in 29.5 minutes, playing in only two games due to a bruised right quad. Considering his No. 1 overall pick status, Risacher has a strong chance to start immediately, but he'll have to beat out the likes of Bogdan Bogdanovic and De'Andre Hunter to secure the spot. Risacher will also have to fight for playing time against Jalen Johnson, a breakout forward last year. The rookie doesn't project as a true top option for the team right out of the gate.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be dealt
Risacher's contract may be needed in a potential swap for Anthony Davis, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After trading away Trae Young, Atlanta's attention has seemingly turned to Davis. It's been reported that Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Kennard would likely leave in this scenario, but their salaries combine for $41.7 million, which is short of Davis' $54.1 million deal. If the Hawks are willing to include Risacher, they could make this work while maintaining tax flexibility.
