The Tigers placed Lange (lat) on the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Lange hasn't suffered any setbacks in his recovery from lat surgery since beginning a throwing program in December and has worked up to throwing off a mound twice per week. Still, he will need multiple months to complete his ramp-up program and won't be eligible to make his 2025 debut until May 26. By placing Lange on the 60-day injured list, the Tigers opened up a roster spot for right-hander John Brebbia, who signed a one-year deal with the Tigers on Wednesday.
