Lowder (forearm) will shift his rehab assignment to High-A Dayton on Sunday,
MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lowder made his first rehab outing Tuesday, when he logged three innings and allowed two earned runs for the Reds' rookie-level Arizona Complex League affiliate. With his strained right forearm responding well to the rehab outing, Lowder will move up to a higher-level affiliate for his second rehab start. Lowder will likely need to build up to around five innings or 80 pitches during his rehab assignment before the Reds activate him from the 15-day injured list.
