The AFC seemingly gets stronger every year, and yet one thing remains constant: The Kansas City Chiefs are among the teams to beat and are favored to win the AFC Championship on NFL betting sites. The Chiefs finished the regular season 15-2, beating rivals for the AFC Championship in Baltimore and Houston, but losing to Buffalo. The offense was not running smoothly and was hampered by injuries. The Chiefs, though, appear to be getting healthy and rounding into form at just the right time. Plus, this is a team that knows how to win. Ten of KC's regular-season victories were by seven points or fewer, and five were not settled until the game's final play.

The Chiefs began playing more dominant football toward the end of the regular season and they looked good in defeating the Texans in the Divisional Round. Kansas City is getting in gear, with rookie speedster Xavier Worthy showing his value as a receiver and runner and DeAndre Hopkins starting to make an impact after the veteran receiver was acquired from Tennessee.
