I was on a basketball message board when I noticed the following headline at the top of the page: "Isiah Meets With Clippers' Owner About GM". My first thought: no way anyone hires Isiah Thomas to run another basketball organization. My second thought: if any organization would do it, it would be the Clippers. My third thought: wait a minute, that's almost too perfect...it's gotta be a joke, right?
The most embattled general manager in recent basketball history is having "informal but substantive" talks to become the GM of the most embattled NBA franchise ever. I don't even have a joke for this...it's just too easy.
On the plus side, that would reunite him with Zach Randolph...
