Sticking around in Moraga
Ducas (back) announced Monday that he will use his additional year of eligibility and will return to Saint Mary's for a fifth season in 2023-24, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Ducas was unable to return to the Gaels' 70-55 loss to UConn in the second round of the NCAA Tournament due to a back injury, but he should be back to full health well in advance of the 2023-24 campaign. Expect the rising redshirt senior to once again hold down a full-time starting role, after he started in all 35 of the Gaels' games in 2022-23. He finished his fourth season in Moraga with averages of 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 1.0 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.4 blocks in 31.2 minutes per contest.
