Returning to college at Alabama
CAlabama
January 21, 2026
The Tuscaloosa County Circuit Court granted Bediako a temporary restraining order Wednesday that will make him immediately eligible to take part in Alabama activities and games, Nick Kelly of AL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bediako declared for the 2023 NBA Draft following two seasons with Alabama, but after going undrafted, he had spent the last two-plus years playing professionally in the G League. Though the 23-year-old was briefly a two-way player for the San Antonio Spurs, Bediako never saw action at the NBA level, though he had appeared in 83 career G League games. With the 6-foot-11 center now having been granted the opportunity to return to college basketball, he should have two years of eligibility at his disposal and could emerge as a regular contributor for the Crimson Tide right off the bat. As a sophomore with Alabama in 2022-23, Bediako averaging 6.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 20.8 minutes per contest over 37 appearances.
