After playing just 11 scoreless minutes in Texas' lone game of the Big 12 tournament, Weaver saw 29 minutes in the Longhorns' opening round win over Colorado State, providing a spark with 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the floor. He also added four rebounds and a steal as Texas controlled much of the game. Weaver proved capable when given the minutes of providing production on the scoring front as well as on the glass over the course of conference play. His continued production would provide much-needed depth for the Longhorns and could make them a dangerous threat to higher-seeded teams as the tournament progresses.
