An update of Peterson's injury status was expected Tuesday morning, and the announcement came with a negative result on his health, as he will log another DNP to heal from a hamstring strain. Kansas' head coach Bill Self commented on the matter, disclosing Peterson's effort, lack of full health and future status. "He [Peterson] is very close. He has worked his butt off, but he is still not 100 percent. He is day-to-day," Self said. Once again, the Jayhawks will have to add a makeshift starter, with their latest example being Jamari McDowell. Peterson's next opportunity to play will come Sunday with the Border War between Kansas and Missouri.
