A switch seems to flip for Castillo when the sophomore enters the starting five, as his three starts have resulted in games of 22, 10, and most recently, 20 points. He should see more opportunities to start moving forward, as regular starter Abdi Bashir is out indefinitely following foot surgery, and center Khamari McGriff sat out Tuesday with an undisclosed injury. The end result was Kansas State deploying only a seven-man rotation and Castillo matching his season-high minutes total. The Wildcats were able to pick up their first Big 12 victory despite the injuries, but a tougher matchup awaits Saturday against Kansas.
