Bidunga saw only 11 minutes Friday but still managed to contribute eight points and eight boards in his first action against a stiff power-conference opponent. The highly-touted freshman has made an impact already for the top-ranked Jayhawks, making nine of 10 shots while collecting 16 rebounds through two games. It was always going to be a long shot for Bidunga to receive significant court time thanks to the depth and talent of the Jayhawks but more performances like this will likely elevate Bidunga into a greater role even without the aid of alternative circumstances such as an injury to free open some extra time in the rotation.
