Dynes had hardly been involved prior to Sunday against UC-Santa Cruz, averaging just 2.2 points across 8.1 minutes. The junior got his first career start in a USC uniform, however, and played very well. He was highly efficient from the field (80 percent) and was valuable as a defender with four swatted shots. It was only UC-Santa Cruz, but Dynes should continue to see his role increase if he can stack performances like this.
