Pierre had been serving as the sixth-man for SMU to start the season, but he consistently produced, putting up 21 and 12 points in the first two games. He entered the starting five in place of Sam Walters on Tuesday and ended up taking the second-most field-goal attempts on the team on a night in which all five starters reached double figures. The rest-of-season outlook is overwhelmingly positive for the fifth-year senior, who had already appeared in 118 collegiate games heading into his final season at SMU -- his first in a Power Five conference.
