North Carolina State's head coach Will Wade announced that Deng (undisclosed) will redshirt his 2025-26 season, Tucker Sennett of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
"He (Deng) has got some off-the-court stuff going. He [also] has got some medical stuff going on," Wade announced Monday. "We met with him (Deng) and his camp, and we all felt like that [redshirting] would be the best course of action for him right now." The forward's 2025-26 season includes 6.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game, eight total. Deng's redshirt ensures that his junior year will remain unused.
