Vaaks started his season off well Monday as he led the team in scoring in his collegiate debut despite coming off the bench. He scored those 19 points on just nine field goal attempts, thanks in part to his six free throws and three 3-point makes. Given his production in the season opener, and the fact that he played 20 minutes, it appears he will be involved in the Friars' rotation this season as a true freshman.
