On track to return for opener
Lipsey (knee) is on track to return for Iowa State's opener against FDU on Nov. 3, per Eugene Rapay of The Journal News.
ANALYSIS
Lipsey suffered a Grade 2 MCL Sprain and was set to miss 4-6 weeks as of late September, but the point guard is reportedly on track for Iowa State's opener. Lipsey, Iowa State's table setter and starting point guard of three years, is coming off a a solid season in which he averaged 10.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.0 steals on 48/33/76 shooting splits. In his absence, the Cyclones should get a chance to evaluate freshman guard Jamarion Batemon.
