Phelps ended with 20 points (6-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Tuesday's 80-70 loss to Oregon.
ANALYSIS
Phelps missed the season opener this year with an undisclosed injury and was spotted in a hand wrap prior to his season debut Nov. 8, but the issue hasn't affected his scoring in the least. He scored 18 off the bench in only 18 minutes in the aforementioned contest and has since moved into the starting five, recording 14 or more points in the four games he's started. So far, the SMU transfer is posting 16.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.8 steals -- all but the scoring would represent career highs.
