2024 Tournament PreviewWith non-conference losses to elite teams such as Purdue, UConn and San Diego State and wins against UCLA and USC that don't look as good in hindsight, Gonzaga was on the bubble late into the season. The Bulldogs, though, won 13 of their last 14 regular-season games, including a road victory against WCC champ Saint Mary's to secure a tournament bid. Coach Mark Few once again has a top-10 offense (per KenPom), carried this year by a pair of transfers in 6-9 forward Graham Ike (16.5 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and point guard Ryan Nembhard (12.9 ppg, 6.7 apg). A 6-8 senior, Anton Watson (14.4 ppg, 7.1 rug) helps Ike control the paint, while Nolan Hickman (13.9 ppg) is the lone deep threat at 40.7 percent shooting. Depth is a concern, with a bottom-20 national ranking in bench minutes, but flying under the radar could be just what the Zags need get to the second weekend and potentially beyond.
