2024 Tournament PreviewDespite a one-and-done exit in the Mountain West tourney, Nevada grabbed an at-large NCAA berth with a top-40 ranking in both offensive and defensive efficiency (per KenPom). The Wolf Pack are led by a pair of senior guards in Jarod Lucas (17.8 ppg) and Kenan Blackshear (15.1 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 4.9 apg). Lucas gets most of his work done from distance (39.7 percent) while Blackshear prefers to take it to the rack, and the team as a whole excels at drawing fouls, with the nation's third-best FTA/FGA. Sophomore 6-9 forward Nick Davidson (12.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg) is a big part of that, as he's enjoying a breakout season. Nevada is also strong on both sides of the perimeter, ranking top 40 shooting the three and defending the three. With six Quad 1 wins and only one bad loss, coach Steve Alford's squad is talented and battled-tested enough to get to the second weekend.
