Alexander completed 22 of 34 passes for 284 yards and three interceptions in Sunday's 25-17 Grey Cup loss to Saskatchewan in the Grey Cup. He also rushed twice for 14 yards.

Alexander reportedly wasn't 100 percent healthy for this contest, and while the hamstring didn't appear to bother him, he was wildly inaccurate with his throws, tossing a season-worst three interceptions. He faltered at the worst possible time for Montreal, but Alexander stepped up when Montreal needed him. The Alouettes dealt with tons of injuries under center in 2025, but Alexander still found a way to carry the team to the Grey Cup. The signal-caller should remain on the roster for 2026 and is expected to compete for a starting role.
