Doege started the game but eventually gave way to Max Duggan, who took the reins of the offense for the majority of the remainder of the game. Doege had thrown for 323 and 221 yards in the prior two games while serving as the clear-cut starter, but he'd also generated a 3:5 TD:INT in that span. Doege did have his moments during the two-plus games during which he saw extended action, so he could be in good position to compete for a roster spot next spring in training camp.
