Suspension
June 1, 2023
Lawler will be suspended for at least three weeks, according to Winnipeg's Twitter account.
ANALYSIS
According to Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press, Lawler's suspension is based off a 2021 incident in which he was charged with impaired driving. Because of his multi-week suspension, he will sit out the 2023 Bombers' first three games. Currently, the earliest Lawler can play again is when the Bombers play Montreal on July 1.
