During NFL stints with the Panthers and Browns in recent years, Walker repeatedly had trouble with ball security, and those issues surfaced in his first career CFL start. The veteran short-circuited three Calgary drives during his spot start in place of Vernon Adams Jr. (head), although he did finish with a strong yardage total overall and connected with Dominique Rhymes for a 16-yard scoring toss with just over six minutes remaining. However, Walker had facilitated a Redblacks TD just a little less than four minutes prior with a 61-yard pick-six, putting a damper on his overall performance. Despite the rough showing, Walker will presumably draw the start again in a Week 10 home matchup against the Blue Bombers on Saturday night if Adams is unable to gain clearance.
