Behren Morton Injury: Avoids serious injury

Morton (leg) avoided a serious injury in Texas Tech's opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, per Pete Mundo of HeartlandCollegeSports.com.

Morton was hit low by a defender and ultimately limped off the field and into the locker room, not returning in Texas Tech's 67-7 romp over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Still, head coach Joey McGuire told Texas Tech Radio Network "Yeah, he's good, he's good," in regards to his quarterback. Morton was having a day, having tossed for 201 yards and four touchdowns. He was replaced by Will Hammond, but it sounds as if the star quarterback should be good to go.
