Javonnie Gibson Injury: Close to returning

Gibson (leg) is close to returning to the practice field, per Parker Thune of On3 Sports.

Gibson transferred to Oklahoma after an excellent season at Arkansas-Pine Bluff in which he posted 70 catches for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns. However, he's been held out for most of fall camp while rehabbing from surgery on his broken leg. Gibson is still a DNP at this point, but he's reportedly getting closer to returning, and when he does he figures to see plenty of snaps for the Sooners' offense this fall.
