Preston Stone News: Inefficient day in victory
Stone completed 11 of 26 passes for 132 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 19-0 victory versus Purdue.
Despite cruising to the victory, Stone struggled a bit against Purdue, throwing for just 132 yards and a pair of touchdowns with an interception while completing just 42.3 percent of his passes. The 6-foot-1 signal caller connected with tight end Hunter Welcing and receiver Griffin Wilde on scoring strikes of three and 12 yards in the second and third quarters, respectively. Stone will hope to tighten things up before a road date with Nebraska on Saturday.
