CJ Dippre

Dippre joins the Tide as a transfer from Maryland. As a sophomore least season with the Terps, Dippre reeled in 30 balls for 314 yards and three touchdowns. Dippre will attempt to replace similar production put forth by Cameron Latu, who also snagged 30 passes for 377 yards and four touchdowns as a member of the Tide in 2022. Latu was a third-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Dippre is even bigger than Latu at 6-5, 260-lbs, and will likely be a key safety valve for Jalen Milroe or whomever lines up under center for the Tide in place of Bryce Young. With new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, Alabama is expected to utilize the tight end with much more frequency in the passing game. With how Rees has developed tight ends recently at Notre Dame, there is plenty of buzz around the potential production of Dippre heading into his junior campaign. Read Past Outlooks
