Demus looked like one of the Big Ten’s best wideouts in 2021 before he suffered a season-ending knee injury that required surgery in early October. The big-play threat was still able to show his immense potential as he averaged 18.1 yards per catch - the third-highest mark amongst a stacked Big-Ten receivers class last season. Demus also finished second in receiving yards for Maryland last season as he racked up an explosive 507 yards on just 28 receptions through the first five weeks. The Washington D.C. native will once again have to show his value as he competes with a highly talented Terrapins receiving corps, which features returning wideouts Rakim Jarrett, Marcus Fleming and Jeshuan Jones, as well as transfer Jacob Copeland. Demus should still see more than his fair share of attention in Maryland’s prolific passing offense led by quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa.
