2023 Receiving Projections

On move again
Mathis announced Sunday via his personal Twitter account that he will enter the transfer portal with the intention of leaving Temple as a graduate tranfser.
ANALYSIS
A fifth-year senior, Mathis had completed 142 of 255 pass attempts (55.7 percent) for 1,437 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions to go with 107 yards and a score on the ground through his first four seasons of college between stops at Georgia and Temple. He moved to wide receiver in Week 2 of the 2022 season and had recorded eight catches for 56 yards on 11 targets before he opted to enter the portal. Since he's leaving Temple with his degree, Mathis should be able to compete immediately at his next school in 2024 for his sixth and final year of eligibility. It's unclear whether he intends to play quarterback or wide receiver at his next school.
