2023 Fantasy Outlook
Smith sat out for spring practice, which is a wise move considering Stanford’s current outlook on offense. Emmitt Smith’s son showed a lot of promise in his first two seasons with the Cardinal, but an injury railroaded his junior campaign. He appeared in only two games, and although Casey Filkins filled in admirably., it’s hard to see a scenario where a healthy Smith doesn’t take over first-string duties again. Assuming he is 100% fof fall camp, Smith should prove to be one of the bright spots in Stanford’s offensive game plan. Read Past Outlooks

Noticeably absent in loss
Smith recorded one rush for zero yards and reeled in 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 21-20 defeat against Arizona.
ANALYSIS
There's no explanation for Smith's limited participation, and although Sedrick Irvin played admirably as a replacement, it was odd not to receive any news about the change. His high usage and injury history may be one reason for his meager stat line, but it's a situation worth monitoring this week.
