2022 Fantasy Outlook
Wells is heading into his fourth collegiate season, and is looking to be named a starting quarterback for the third consecutive season. After redshirting his freshman year at Marshall, Wells went on to throw 460 completions with 5,623 yards and 34 touchdowns. The quarterback also added 236 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in these two years. One downside to Wells’ time at Marshall was that he had 13 interceptions in the 2021 season, which is not going to pass in a more competitive ACC conference. Wells will of course be hoping for the QB1 role, but he will likely be competing with fellow transfer Jason Brown. Both quarterbacks come with starting experience and will be battling it out presumably until the fall. Read Past Outlooks

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Wells was named the starter for Marshall as a freshman in 2020, and it was an up-and-down campaign to say the least. He literally threw five touchdowns one week and five interceptions the next. However, he was a young player learning on the job, and he still threw 18 touchdowns against nine picks. With experience under his belt, Wells should be in a better position in 2021, especially with a more normal offseason.
