ANALYSIS
Rutledge only saw action in one game this season, tallying two carries for 11 yards against North Carolina in Week 2. The tailback's lower body injury persisted, however, to the point where the 49ers have elected to shut him down for the season. CJ Stokes and Rod Gainey should continue to spearhead Charlotte's backfield moving forward, with Cameren Smith possibly seeing more action in Rutledge's stead.
