Sanborn announced Jan. 7 via his personal Twitter account that he'll forgo his remaining eligibility at Wisconsin to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
A redshirt junior in 2021, Sanborn would have had the option of sticking around in college for up to two more seasons, but he'll make the jump to the professional ranks coming off a big campaign. He tallied 90 tackles and five sacks while suiting up in all 13 games for Wisconsin. The departures of Sanborn as well as fellow linebacker Leo Chenal (115 tackles, eight sacks) leave a big hole on the second level for a Wisconsin defense that ranked as one of the nation's best in 2021.
