Hullaby began his career at Texas in 2020 and appeared in two games as a defender before redshirting during the 2021 campaign and then transferring to New Mexico. The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Hullaby saw action at running back and tight end with the Lobos in the 2022 season, carrying 13 times for 59 yards and recording two receptions for 44 yards.
