ANALYSIS
Tibbs was one of for Purdue receivers to catch a touchdown pass from quarterback Hudson Card, who went 24-for-25 passing for 273 yards for four scores Week 1. The 6-foot-3 sophomore got his score on an eight-yard touchdown early in the second quarter, and he finished third on the team team in targets behind Jahmal Edrine (five) and tight end Max Klare (five) on Saturday. Tibbs caught just five passes across eight appearances in 2023, though it appears he could be on top for a much more significant role this year. It will be worth monitoring if his target share changes when the Boilermakers next play versus Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 14.
