Joins Michigan State
January 24, 2023
Michigan State announced Dec. 19 that Kim signed with the program as a transfer from North Carolina.
ANALYSIS
After losing the battle with Noah Burnette for North Carolina's primary placekicking duties in 2022, Kim ended up serving mainly as a kickoff specialist for the Tar Heels through the team's first four games. He went on to enter the transfer portal midway through the season and will elect to finish up his college career in East Lansing. Kim should get the chance to compete for both placekicking and kickoff specialist duties with Ben Patton and Stephen Rusnak in 2023.
