2025 Fantasy Outlook
Haynes was part of a committee backfield with Alabama in 2024, splitting touches with Jamarion Miller. Despite ceding attempts to the more experienced back, Haynes proved to be the more efficient runner, totaling 448 yards and seven touchdowns on nearly six yards per attempt. With running backs Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards both gone, Haynes appears set to slide into the premier spot in the Michigan backfield, giving freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood an experienced runner to rely on behind him. Despite Michigan making an offensive coordinator change to Chip Lindsey in an attempt to "modernize" the offense, the offense remains run-friendly in Ann Arbor. Haynes could be primed for a breakout season as a potential bellcow ball carrier, though Jordan Marshall and UMass transfer CJ Hester remain on hand as options to spell him, with Marshall potentially handling a decent-sized workload himself. Commits to Georgia Tech
Haynes (foot) has committed to Georgia Tech, Steve Samra of On3.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Haynes, a Georgia native, will transfer from Michigan and enroll at one of the state's best colleges. The running back's focus shifts to becoming healthy for 2026. Before his foot injury, he excelled as part of the 2025 Wolverines. Across seven games, Haynes logged 121 rushing attempts for 857 yards (7.1 averaged per carry) and 10 touchdowns. When he is healthy, the 2026 Jackets' primary runner likely will be him, even if the Yellow Jackets maintain Malachi Hosley despite his seven-touchdown 2025.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Haynes is yet another talented running back added by the Tide. The freshman is a five-star recruit and largely considered the top running back prospect in the nation heading into his first year at Alabama. His father, Vernon Haynes was a running back at Georgia and a fifth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2002. While his father was more of a bruiser, Justice is a tad lighter but considered far more explosive. In high school, the younger Haynes posted video game numbers, rushing for 7,574 yards and 95 touchdowns. As a senior, he averaged an outrageous 11.1 yards per carry. Haynes is currently listed behind seniors Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams on the depth chart. While both McClellan and Williams have plenty of experience at Alabama, neither has been a featured running back during their time with the Tide. As a result, expect Haynes to work his way into the rotation early on, especially if the veterans struggle out of the gate.
