Back in end zone Friday
December 1, 2024
Lockhart tallied four receptions (on seven targets) for 48 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 34-31 win over Stanford.
ANALYSIS
Lockhart was held without a catch last week in a loss to UNLV. While Walker Eget did spread the ball around a bit Friday, Lockhart managed to put together a solid stat line highlighted by a 19-yard touchdown grab, his fifth of the season. After missing the 2023 campaign with an injury, Lockhart will wrap up a strong bounce-back senior season with 973 yards on 52 receptions across 12 games.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
There is, and this is a rare occurrence in college football history, excitement about the San Jose State passing game. Mostly, that's due to Chevan Cordeiro. The Hawaii transfer excelled in his first season with the Spartans, and some think he will end up as the top quarterback in the Mountain West. Where there is a major question, though, is who his top receiver will be in 2023. Lockhart is the preseason favorite, but it is tentative. Having transferred from Nevada as part of that exodus, Lockhart had 578 yards with San Jose State last season, but only with one touchdown. That's a concern, but touchdown hog Elijah Cooks (10 last season) graduated, and Lockhart has the size (6-foot-3) to be the primary red-zone threat in 2023.
Lockhart transferred from Nevada after three seasons with the team and will now have to acclimate to San Jose State. In his final season with the Wolf Pack, the wideout tallied 470 yards, 35 receptions and two touchdowns. He is now moving to an offense that lost their top receiver from last season, Derrick Deese Jr. With that spot open Lockhart will surely be a top receiver that will help fill the position. Isaiah Hamilton is another one of the Spartans’ top receivers that is returning to the team next season, so the two players should create a strong offense for either Chevan Cordeiro or Nick Nash to pass to.
